If I want to sell one of my cryptocurrencies, do I have to wait for another party buy it? Is it possible that a cryptocurrency moons, and I want to sell but cannot find any buyers?

If it moons it means people are rushing in to buy it. But yes, someone has to buy your bags.

Any time you sell, someone is buying what you sell.

Let's say there are 2 of you, each selling .5 BTC, and I place a buy order for 1BTC, your two orders fill my order.

Why can't I sell to an NPC buy order?

Think about what you’re saying. It’s only mooning when people are buying. People buying is what’s causing the price to go up.

What about more established coins like Eth, BTC and BCH and other top 10s? Is there any danger in not finding buyers for these certain coins?

On a page like pic related, wouldn't I be buying/selling coin from 1 individual party? Are most exchanges like this?

>Buy 10,000 shares LiterallyWhoCoin
>Price jumps up
>Can sell it all for $5,000
>Nobody wants to buy anything but memecoins

fuck

i think thats unlikely unless you have a lot of coins. on an exchange with a shitcoin that has very low daily volume and you drop a few k youd probably lower the price quicker unless you sold slowly.

your order might sit there for a while before getting filled if you're trading on a suuuper low-volume exchange.

>> No.9508753

theres always a risk of your order not being filled, no matter what it is or what exchange youre on

what youre looking at are aggregate totals
each listing may be an individual trying to sell the whole line item, or 100 people each selling a fraction of the line.
people trying to sell it have higher prices than people trying to buy it. if they prices ever overlap, the exchange should match the orders (regardless of how many buyers/sellers are involved) and everybody gets what they want.

until the price-overlap occurs, nothing is bought or sold, just listed as "for sale" or "wanting to buy"
