Nothing is wrong. We won’t know anything for sure until mainnet. Sergey knows that under the hostile SEC regulatory apparatus that he must maintain the idea that LINK is a decentralised utility token and not a security and once it has utility they can promote chainlink, but not before that, or it jeopardises the whole project

Well, let's see:
> Sergey is really fucking overweight, FAT even
> Drank from the toilets at one of his presentations because he couldn't be fucked getting a cup of fucking water
> Testnet doesn't even work, or if it does, all it does is a call function for something called "Jason Parser.jpg"
> They haven't released any footage from his appearance at consensus because it's too embarrassing: He injected marijuana and fell asleep in the back when it was his turn to speak so he missed out.

So when mainnet is launched, they can start announcing what partnerships they have etc?

>> No.9505831

>>9504992

this. here's the kicker. everyone keeps waiting for mainnet launch, but they don't realize mainnet will come in 2 launches: first launch is to support nodes on ethereum's mainnet. this allows partners and clients to get their services production ready. this will come mid/late July. the official launch of the reputation system and the network features will be released in September.

>> No.9505839

>>9505812
Of course, why would you provoke unnecessary interesting in a developing technology you know is on the money before you're ready to launch. Its only tempting others trying to trail after you

>> No.9505845

/biz/ doesn't really understand what it is beyond a superficial level so they get uncomfortable with literally any criticism or questioning and didn't understand how long it would take and how long there still is to go and how much testing the network will have to undergo once even the actual network goes into alpha. The Main net on the actual Ethereum main net will not be launched in a production version until 2019 easily.

and they've finally just about finished porting that plus some dealing with the tokens to Go. So they're back to where they were a year ago and now will actually begin making a network. It's a big task that is a high barrier to entry for competitors, which is a good thing, but it's going to take a long time.

you'll still be able to accumulate up to September, but there will be a pre-singularity spike with the release of nodes in July.

they will, but the nodes and the network are sort of two distinct things given the network is made up of nodes, meaning they need to be made first. that's why they'll finish the node work on testnet and announce the node release on mainnet first, and then they'll make the reputation repo public and begin testing it on testnet before moving it onto the mainnet as well. this lets clients get their nodes in place and tested before the network is officially up while also giving LINK a utility earlier (staking against nodes, which is separate from the reputation system) which enables them to be more open with marketing earlier.
