Everytime I transfer money to buy crypto, I only do it through ETH just to spite bitcoin maximalists. I've also convinced 4 of my friends to go through ETH when buying crypto.

Same amigo. But btc is the market maker. Simple as that. When another alt comes along with as many trading pairs sure. Even eth is at btc mercy. Its not about the best tech and never has been. BTC has the market makers and it will be like this a looooong time.
