It describes how its intended to be a stable coin that stays at 50 cents. You're all sitting around waiting for a rocket that literally will never come. The only thing its good for is to replace Tether.

exactly. its meant to be exchanged, which means it needs a consistently low valuation so people don't hoard it and try to increase the price since then nobody would want to trade it. the node penalty/reward mechanism is tied to a smart contract that tracks its current price to adjust the economics of the system and keep the price stable.

its really quite genius. its like DAI, only it also handles all data flow. its worth buying when you're selling other tops, but its not worth holding because it'll never move.

Chain Link works great. Remember that one time it went above $1? The self regulatory mechanism quickly kicked in and brought Chain Link back to $0.50 regions just as whitepaper describes, it works better than Tether. It's sad they removed the
>Chain Link price shouldn't exceed the price of a Big Mac
from the whitepaper. I guess they want to be seen as a more serious company now.

Ya. I think they also realized the price of a big mac will go up, but the value of 50 cents will go down so they picked the latter to keep it cheap. the best part is the more adoption it gets, and the more volume it gets, the closer it'll stay to 50 cents with less volatility. 2020 mainnet is going to be a huge deal.

There’s a reason it has never hit $2. The token’s fundamentals keep its price low on purpose. It went from $0.10 to $1 and quickly retraced to $0.35, it’s not a store of value, it’s simply fuel for higher forms of value like eth, btc, and bank bonds

OP, link is divisible by 18 decimal points... why the fuck would it be that divisible if it was only meant to be a dollar.

People already tried this FUD with BAT and it didn’t work.
