Honestly REQ should have never released mainnet instead they should have focused on partnerships and adoption for a year and have all features ready such as BTC/ERC20 and fiat support before releasing mainnet.

This way the burning and userbase would have been high from the start and the REQ tokens would not drop as they have done now due to still having speculative value.

I should have cashed out in December and gone into retirement to Thailand or something.

you can test stuff on the testnet. The last token burn was 8th of May. Also if you really want to test it in practice with real tokens you could just burn a really small percentage so only 0.000001 REQ gets used to test your stuff.
