correction - I move around a LOT so I rent a home wherever I live. I gave up my US citizenship and live fulltime in a little tax haven in europe and own a condo there, but the houses back in the states that I own are all rental properties.

I also have a lot of business in places around europe and asia so whenever I go there I either just do airbnb, stay with a friend if I can, and if it's a long trip I'll rent an apartment and sublet my condo back home.

Owned home before I met wife. House increased in value almost 100% because I bought the dip. She was entitled to half of that value according to court when we split.
