Details on staking income are unknown to this day.
One thing we do know is that it will depend on the transaction volume on the network. So i assume you won't make much at the start.
But anyone who studies this project knows it has VERY large potential transaction volume.

I think this is one of the most solid projects in crypto. Here are some concerns tho. The roadmap shows how it's going to take a lot of time before staking is released so other coins are mostly going to have better growth than it in the meantime. Additionally, staking is limited to like 200 validators at first and it doesn't seem like the team really cares about providing staking pools.

>> No.9412093

Staking will be available on the Cosmo network, by Q3, price will increase in anticipating of the spoon. They are in constant talks, probably under NDA with staking pools. Speculation is rocket pool is a major one .

Q3 is a long time? Even then you get cosmos staking soon omg is just waiting on them. They said they are ahead of schedule multiple times and started on tesuji a month or two before q2 ended and the backend dex already has an internal release running. If they keep getting ahead q4 is going to be great and everything will be done

The timetable for OMG staking on the Ethereum mainnet has been moved up recently because Plasma has progressed faster than they planned. The Cosmos OMG token is on the backburner for now because Plasma is nearly complete and there is no need for the preliminary test system on Cosmos. Full main net staking will be live in 2018.

because it's true. ethereum is never going to go all in on a scaling solution that uses a token other than eth, they made that perfectly clear.

omg is a token for omise's own developments, of which plasma is requiried for omisego to do anything, therefore they needed to develop plasma first.

if you think for a second omg will be at the same level or even higher than eth on plasma though, you haven't actually researched what you're buying.

>> No.9412235

Major problem of omg (and crypto in general) exactly when will all of this happen? Lazy devs. Lazy roadmaps. Confusion. It's done when it's done. It's like crypto is for devs who lack the discipline to work a normal job. "Nah, today I don't feel like going to work. Where is my skateboard". So sick of all the " there will be awesome things to come". Not a single one of those whiepaper fucks ever delivers.

You're looking at this wrong...
Say in some magical land, OMG provided enough fees that each token earned $100/yr for staking
The price of OMG would clearly be higher than ETH
ETH's price is not a ceiling, OMG moves independently once it's based on fees and not speculation
