Because now your wealth is determined by a useless asset that is controlled by criminals and fluctuating 20% a day. If your investments go up, you won't sell because you'll become greedy and either they'll crash and you'll miss those gains or you'll become so greedy that you'll never have enough and therefore won't ever be happy. Also, if you decide to quit crypto, and you see that it is going up, you'll feel even more depressed. Crypto is a curse.

I believe it can because it gives you some sort of purpose. Something to get excited about. Just remember to think of it as a game that might change your life. If you take it too seriously, your depression will get worse during the long bear markets.
