Hello /biz/

What sort of books have you all read/ would recommend to someone interested in investing? Are there some classic or core books to get familiarized with?

Hey, i have the same question. I literally don't know the first thing about investing, stock or anything related. Is the book investing for dummy's a good start and then move to something like the four pillars to investing?

I don't think any of the dummies books are good, they are literally for the mass public to waste their money on.

Those books were written in order to take advantage of reader's gullible minds en masse.
For i.e. The Intelligent Investor parrots to buy when everyone is selling and sell when everyone is buying. But in reality the authors themselves do the opposite thanks to millions who read their books and follow their advice.

This. No book will teach you anything. Learn from the ground up yourself and start studying economics

This meme needs to stop.

No, a book will not turn you into a success story, but that doesn't mean the info isn't useful.

Don't generalize like this unless you've a.) read each book yourself or b.) are successful.
