Why is making money so much more difficult today than it was just 60 years ago?

>> No.9360826

Literally how? How this board became millionaires sitting in their parent’s basement putting their allowance money into virtual internet money

>> No.9360836

>>9360777
Because there hardly is any economic growth anymore. GDP is a construction and does not reflect actual productivity.
The entire economy and life itself has become more and more of a zero sum game. There are fewer opportunities to create wealth that everybody can benefit from. Instead you get rich by denying other people resources.

That's probably like 0.0001% of this board. The rest of us will never have enough money to even live the equivalent of a lower-middle class lifestyle of the 1950s.

THIS, apart from its a negative sum game if you account for inflation and of course interest

>only one real country unscathed
>not only unscathed but is fully primed for industry
>corners the entire world market selling the tools needed for them to rebuild
>invests in all countries with it's dollar, which are needed to rebuild AND buy oil

this shit doesn't happen too often bud. We basically got 50 years of tribute from the entire world because of how WWII turned out. We are still raking it in but not like before.

Shit isn't normal. I hate how people want $15/hr and demand the niceties of a crazy golden age.

Can you explain what a lower-middle class lifestyle of the 1950s consisted of?

It's investing, not gambling. Just because it's a risky investment doesn't mean it's a gamble. The difference is that you can cut losses and lose 50% of your money while investing (unless it's a scam but I'm talking about legit projects) whereas you would lose 100% while gambling

Demographic shift + globalization + push for college + feminism. The 'bad' jobs are done by Mexicans under the table = wages lowered. The 'good' jobs are done by H1Bs who get deported if they quit = wages lowered. Whites get fed the college meme so don't go into plumbing, plastering, roof repair, HVAC, etc. Women in the workplace doubles the supply of employees for all jobs while only increasing the demand for nannies and daycare = wages lowered. Jews, man.

That lifestyle=900 square foot house, eating out less than once a month, having to fear numerous diseases we've eradicated, lead poisoning from gasoline, higher crime, no internet, no AC, strict credit (no credit cards), one shitty station wagon that is worn out by 75k miles, and you likely got drafted and rushed death/PTSD in WW2/Korea/Vietnam.

Also no internet, probably no TV, and not even fucking AC. Weed weak and impossible to find if you're white. Beer was shit. Porn was illegal and just softcore pics if you could find it.

Fuck the 50s lifestyle. Sitcoms were not god damned documentaries.

>Unironically women in the workforce and mass immigration

Yeah, women suck at unionizing. Workers wages have been falling since the 1960's in comparison to the corporate profits because women don't mind being a slave to a powerful force. Men will realize when they are getting shafted, unionize come together and kick the shit out of the chimps at the top of the social hierarchy. Women make this impossible to do. They don't work for money or gainz, they work cause society tells them to. Men work to fulfill biological desires.

Also if women didn't work, they won't control as much money, which means they aren't able to lobby as much for immigration. Multi-cultural societies would also suck at unionizing workers.
