Funny that most of the people going on about "muh decentralization" these days are bitcoin core-maximalist turbonormies.

Never mind that they can't even define it. They just use it as a rhetorical cudgel to attack anything that itsn't BTC, completely missing the irony that BTC governance has been captured by four guys with commit access to the github repo.

Yeah, the decentralization meme is truly pitiful.
Every coin that "works" is incredibly centralized, and even those that claim not to be are centralized indirectly.

BTC is on its way to become an unusable puppet of online banks with LN
BCH is a scam with no transactions, whose network only keeps going thanks to the Alibaba chinks pretty much owning it and cultists going "MUH REAL BITCOIN"
"Stealth" coins are all centralized
And so on

Actual decentralization would require an automated system so perfect that it could run on its own forever. And if something like that existed its author wouldn't use it for shitcoins, considering they could get rich with the programming equivalent of a philosopher's stone in a billion other ways.

They don't give a rats ass about multi gigawatt hydroelectric either, but they sure love that 4c kWh energy.
If normies have to be ideologically invested in your plan for it to succeed, it will fail. If on the other hand following it is just a natural consequence of being economically sensible, it will succeed.
Thus to the extent it's ideological nonsense to boost blockstream's margins and sell shit tier lightning stickers, it'll fail.
While to the extent it's peer to peer electronic cash outside the meddling influence and thus parasitism of states and banks, it will succeed.
Position yourselves appropriately.

He's got us there, lads - that's a wrap: crypto is dead in the water
