Hey anons, is Puerto Rico a tax haven for Canadian traders? I heard it's good for American traders but not sure if it's the same for us Canadians.

Also, as an American or Canadian, would you have to live there to avoid paying taxes? How does it work exactly?

Would it be possible to just go there, cash out, come back home and have access to your money, or no?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

are you a US citizen? do you have 1 million dollars to apply for a eb5 investor visa, and wait the 7 years or so to gain american citizenship? regardless of any answer, you would have to declare your shit on canada before so everything is moot

Dont avoid the crajew. Pay your tribute to israel. Syrian refugees in Canada need you to pay your unfair share of taxes.

See you at the next gay pride parade.

How would I do that exactly? Go there, open up a corp, declare that I made x amount of money, then what? Cash out there? Could I fly back to Canada and have access to the funds when I'm done?

It's an American territory you can't just waltz in and benefit from its tax laws. You have to be American and actually live there as a PR resident.

No you dumb cunt, you must move. You must renounce your Canadian citizenship or CRA will come knocking abroad too.

You must cut ties to canada. No bank accounts, no real estate, no storage lockers, NOTHING.

only then will CRA leave u alone

You dont have to renounce your citizenship you fucking retard. Just cut all ties as you said and get residency in another tax friendly country and declare yourself a non tax resident. You do have to pay an exit tax to the CRA however.
