Buy now if you are anticipating a positive response. We seem to be at support (approximately $700 for ETH, $9250 for BTC), which support is probably strong enough to survive for at least the next 5-10 hours.

In terms of your question, I don't think anyone has seen a definitive schedule for the SEC/CFTC meeting. This is probably because the meeting is an informal one, and being blown way out of proportion. We may get a statement sometime around 3-5pm EST, so about 6 hours from now.
