If the economy is zero sum, then wealth cannot be created or destroyed. It exists as it always has and can be moved around. With more people, it gets more spread out and ultimately diminishes.

He doesn't lose his 1Million immediately and it's not necessarily the case that the million is lost. It could also very well be that 1k/eth would be the ground floor for generations to come.
As long as someone is willing to buy it from him at 1k/eth it's not a zero sum thing.
