When you have a child the mother produces new stem cells (cells that can form any other cell to be used by the body for any need). Cells with an effective age of zero years with long telomers for cell reproduction. Our bodies have the capability of forming new life indefinitely as long as there is a food source but for your own self your body can only use the resources left to it from birth. Once those run out you die.

I'm convinced human genetics can be programmed to produce more age zero cells for your own body and not soley for your offspring.

For those who dont understand the difference between the cells of an adult vs the cells of a child, if you clone a 30 year old person, the child born will look like a baby and grow up normally but it will die 30 years earlier than you'd expect under the same living conditions. This is because as you age your cells have to constantly reproduce. As your cells reproduce the cells telomers shorten. As you age the telomers get shorter until they have trouble reproducing correctly which is why people devealop age related problems. Eventually, if you live long enough your cells will just stop reproducing and you die.
