how does it work? do you just keep getting more money if it keep going up? how much money would you get if you closed now?

>> No.9274839

>>9274813
When you go long/short, you have a liquidation price, and when you use leverage the liquidation price is more restrictive based on how much you use.
So 20x made my liquidation price like 2% below the order price, and since we're long past the liquidation price, I can just keep racking up % gain on the 20k, so yeah unless i close it and collect my profit i can continue to use leverage (and pay for it) forever.

been watching volume/patterns for past few days. i believe we will test 10k again and it may approve it. if it rejects i will sell immediately and have a small profit. if it goes past 10k we will see massive green dildos real quick. my risk is calculated. the way I see it, I can either make a minor profit/break even or make massive gains.

i always say 100x is beyond stupid...but i honestly think you have a chance to make some serious gains anon. i think its gonna smoke past 10k when it tests again. and if not, sell and take your profits. win win. nice job.

again though, bitmex? or what? i want to get into leveraging like 10x but i'm in usa

you from usa? bitmex?

can you do a breakdown on the math on that?

so you put up 2,756.80 at 20x

which is effectively 55,136

so if btc hit 6836 you would've been fucked. right?

so what are you making every 100 that btc goes up? is what i'm having trouble with lol too many IPAs tonight

Is margin trading just a multiplier on your gains/loses?

How I'd imagine it working is that normally if I had $1000 and place it on ETH (let's assume back when it's value was $1000 for easy math). If the price of ETH fell to $900, I lost $100, if it rose to $1100, I made $100. Simple.
If I was to leverage with x10, then it's like I'm playing with $100,000 but gets liquidated if I lose $1000, right? So if it fell to $900, I lose $1000, get liquidated and I'm out. if it rose to $1100, then I make $1000?
