This is on track to be a 2-20 billion dollar crypto. Its still highly undervalued. Most intelligent people who are FOMOing in actually know this to be true. Which is why you're not seeing any real dips happen for 4-5 days. Just constant growth to 10x the ICO price. But ya, keep convincing yourself its too late to get in. I'm sure people thought it was too late to get into Bitcoin when it was 10 dollars or when Etherium was 1 dollar. But those people who sold were probably just in it for the money and didn't believe in what was coming. Like half the retards on this board who are just financial guys and don't actually understand the technical fundamentals of crypto or what Holo brings to the table really.

Thats key. Holochain has no apps. It needs those to make it useful to regular people. Its a cloud computing hosting dapp development kit right now. The token unfortunately is now a pump and dump token. Its far out from where it needs to be.

After spending the last few days researching and reviewing code, I have three main thoughts:

1) project has a lot of potential, code looks great. They already have done so much in development which is impressive.

2) the only other Dags I know (iota, nano) have experienced huge tech problems, dags are still kind of an unknown when it comes to security specifically, which is the main reason blockchain has a bright future. The world needs better data security, not more speed and not really cheaper data transactions, those are just perks. If their dag does not provide equal or better security then it is worthless.

3) My biggest red flag: the devs have stated token supply is not static and they are willing to dump more tokens into the market as they deem necessary. While this makes a lot of sense for supporting the network, it’s not great news for token holders, as I’m sure part of that will mean doing what they can to stabilize prices and payouts, which means they may not have really solved for their own tokenomics yet

At a current $300MM mcap given the unknowns I am choosing not to invest. I may regret that a lot. If it comes down roughly 50% I might jump in.

technically it does with the decentralised twitter and slack examples. but we need is another 17 year old genius with too much time on his hands to create a killer holochain whatsapp/telegram. The nature of this project and how its run makes me feel this will happen. Remember the applications built on top will increase the value of the protocol. Any dev with a significant holding should be looking at creating apps.

on point two is that security in this situation is not comparable to the block chain or other 'transfer of value" dags where one global truth needs to be rigorusly maintained. Holo is not attempting todo this... they are proposing an entirely different modal where lots of many truths can be concieved and validated by agreeing peers. I dont know wether it will crash or become the next big thing and idc, I bought in at 35 fucking gwei and 60 respectively, sold half with a profit and 120 and am willing to let the other half die if it needs to

I just dont see it. This is not bigger than Ethereum if Etherum can fix its problems. Which I trust it to be able to. This is also nothing like Bitcoin initially. Its more of a better Substratum, in which case its already decently valued. If 1 Holo is GOING to be 1€ worth of computing power, then it goes 100x from here, but only if theres actual demand for computing power on the Holo Network.
Will there be? propably. The biggest selling point of Holo is that if it fails, and if people run nodes, if Holofuel is worth a €, it will inevitably be worth that because its no problem to run on Holo and oracle your way into Ethereum or other things propably
