You actually can void a transaction by importing your wallet to a new client and making a transaction that causes the first one to be impossible. I.e. you have $1000 and sent $800 to wrong address. Import wallet and send $1000 to yourself with a bigger fee. The first tx decays away. Just because it was broadcast doesn’t mean it is actually final yet.
