I'm posting my trading stack here, videos, charts, and my own TA. I can't guarantee I'll take a position or that my position will be profitable, But I can guarantee you'll learn something.

>What is BitMex?
BitMEX is a Peer-to-Peer Trading Platform that offers leveraged contracts that are bought and sold in Bitcoin.
BitMEX only handles Bitcoin. All profit and loss is in Bitcoin, even if you’re buying and selling altcoin contracts. BitMEX does not handle fiat currency.
BitMEX allows trading with a high amount of leverage.

>How does Leverage work?
Leverage allows you to borrow on credit proportional to your capital. On 2x leverage, 100 dollars can buy 200 contracts. On 100x, 1,000.

>What does "getting Liquidated" mean?
It means you fucked up, and lost the money you put down. On leverage, your mark price moves faster and your Liquidation price is closer to your entry. When your mark price enters the Liquidation price, you lose

We've got a bit of an emerging scenario here! BTC has left the Bolinger Band, is under the moving average, and is Bottoming out the RSI.

Low RSI lends me to a Bull reversal against a Bear Trend...

I've got a couple of options here, to capitalize on the spike in Short Volume and Decrease in Price.
I could
A) join the pack and short BTC with heavy leverage, close out as soon as the bleeding stops
B) wait for a pause and go long. hoping the tides will turn in my favor
C) sit and watch in hope that BTC will stop at near our Resistance point of 8600, and then go long

I havent decided yet, what do you think I should do?

>>9180566
You could triple that every month but you need to be smart, patient, and disciplined.

You will only get a few perfect opportunities every month. You need to trade only on the daily chart and scale into your positions to give yourself room for volatility.

If you hang out on mex all day and overtrade you will lose every time. Better to collect a few big wins and compound them. BTC is predictable when zoomed out and disastrous zoomed in (unless you're quite a good trader).

>> No.9180601

>>9180566
You could go 100x and open a long/short for $50,000. The market could then immediately give you the red/green candle you want. BTC has seen $1,000 price movements in less than a day.

Probably best to just gamble though. If that's what you're looking for.

For context you can see that my trade required $10,000 up front (margined x25 so 225,000) and I've made about $1,000 just from the funding rebate and if I closed my position now it would net me about another $10,000.

So that would be doubling your money in about a day. But you have to know when to close (which is the harder part).

From this medium article.

https://medium.com/@BambouClub/a-quick-starter-guide-to-using-leveraged-trading-at-bitmex-5383de4cb320

Set-up to buy 1 Bitcoin ($11,670) with 0.1 BTC ($1,167) Margin i.e. 10x Leverage Long

Quantity: The quantity of the trade is $11,670. This is your position. But the money you place at risk is less than this, depending on what leverage you choose.

Cost: The cost is 0.1015 BTC i.e. $1,167. This is the maximum you can lose. You lose the entire amount should the price fall by 10% from $11,670 to $10,500. If the price was to crash to $5,000 your loss is still limited to $1,167 which is the value of your Initial Margin.

Order Value: The value of your position is 1 BTC i.e. $11,670. (0.9889 BTC to be exact.) Fees are calculated on this amount.

Available Balance: This is how much you have available for trading. Cost must be lower than Available Balance to execute the trade.

Ok so the question u asked was

>How do I save on fees when closing my position?
Use Limit Orders. On Bitmex, the Taker fee (Market Order) is 0.075% of total position Maker fee (Limit, Stop Orders) is 0.025% of total position REBATED (paid to you)

That will probably be the hammer that sends us down to $3500. But we will quickly rebound to $7k and float around there until October/November. At which point we will rise up until the next halvening in 2020 when we will go parabolic again (blow off should be around $800,000).
