Sergey Nazorav (CEO of Smartcontract.com) has been working with SWIFT since 2015, which led to the PoC at SIBOS in 2017 which was essentially a smart contract powered bond payment application using a centralized oracle. When I went to NIPS there were entire presentations on how to control and censor AI, and it's barely beginning to work.
If there is economic incentive to share the trained model, it could encourage participation in the field. Maybe some other researchers wouldn't be so quick to jump into Google or FB and might actually try being entrepreneurs.
For that idea, chainlink would verify integrity of the hosted blockchain. It would also verify payment and permissions.
