Link to document?

It seems that was created before 2016, because 85% of that is wrong and changed today.
>for profit, Jed/founders 'reserved' 5% for 'operation' expenses; effectively they control these STR's
hahahaa, whoever made this is fucking retarded. The ledger is public you fkin idiot, they see what the SDF pool is, everyone sees how much they take out. You're a fucking lunatic to think there is a conspiracy.

They made it a non-profit because they don't want the money, they made it a tool and they barely have the amount of money Ripple has and are still doing as much damage in the market as they are.

But yeah, outdated and redacted. Irreverent to today. You might as well say they still give out handouts to niggers for free XLM, which is wrong because they don' give out XLM anymore except to business partnerships and physical meetups.

You clearly don't know Jed McCaleb's past or what he intends to do in the future. Mother fucker has been a pearl for the human race since 2005, and he doesn't even give a FUCK about money. Everything he has touched has turned into GOLD

Can they achieve such speed and low fees without centralization?

>> No.9054887

>>9054796
The ledger takes in transactions every 5 seconds. It's how it works, it is not PoW. It is called Stellar Consensus Protocol and depends on node validators to verify them. The game plan is to have businesses load on, which will then become anchors and validators etc, and help create a network full of reputable companies/developers/organizations etc.

To utilize Stellar for your infrastructure, the speed depends on your own hardware. So if you have a shitty computer, compared to Amazon AWS, yeah you get the idea. Also depends how you code the application. Redundant code, etc.

Centralization... I'll take a try to explain in simpler terms. But first I assume you understand that Quorum Slices are to help a Stellar node do the validation.

Stellar is all about trust (validators). After all, when you have to trust somebody, you'd trust the reputated nodes, rather than a random stranger node on the internet.

If that was too difficult don't worry, your money deserves to be in LINKvaporware

What's centralized about it? They are verifying the transactions lol, that's it.

Also, tell me what is not 'centralized' in the crypto world.
