How are interest/staking/masternode / whatever passive reward coins and platforms not the golden grail in Crypto? Just think about the possibility of never having to cash out for as long as Crypto stays around. Considering that we are working on a financial revolution here I don't see how a lifetime of passive earnings isn't possible in this early stage.

Nodes are expensive and can take 1-2 years to pay off for most of them, and most of the time the coins prices tank so it takes even longer

But the alternative is not much better. Put in money, take out 10x and be happy. Only to realize you could have taken out 1000x 5-10 years later. I agree that most reward schemes are currently shit. But passive income has been a golden marketing grail in many stages, I doubt that Crypto will be skipped. It will only take so long for someone to come up with a way to properly incentive earnings.
