Hello frens, beautiful morning, drinking my coffee and writing Lesson #3 for newbies in crypto.

This will be somehow linked the statements that I made in previous lessons, about paid shills, shilling in general, but most important this is just an example of how to make confident trade.

So You see some news on twitter that coin X will be presenting at some conference and announce new things related to the project in Y days. That is Your entry point signal as good as it can be, keeping in mind that You see the news by yourself on twitter/slack straight from team itself, not from social media/biz/plebbit/discord.

Hold Your horses though, don't FOMO with 100% of Your money, especially with amount that You can't lose.

The entry point for this example strategy should be about 5-15% of Your crypto capital, depending on how big risk You are willing to take, and HOW MUCH RESEARCH YOU DID ON THE COIN PRIOR. Don't invest 1satoshi if You didn't read shit before, and You just want to play.

So if You are just new to the coin, and somehow got this info, read as much as You can BEFORE entry, and invest lowest amount, which will be Your 5% of capital. Safe, good learning amount, keeping in mind that You might get burned - since You didn't read about it and know nothing about it before You got this "news" .

Treat every news like it's pure shill on the street trying to sell You some "gold watch" for 100$, when it's just a simple counterfeit that's really worth 5$, but this guy insist that's his grandpa's watch from a trip to Switzerland 50 years ago that he paid 1000$ for.

DYOR on "buy the rumor, sell the news".

>> No.9034912

So You got Your 5% in it, how do You know when to sell ?

You have a date of the conference.
That's most likely when You will implement simple strategy :
A-Full ROI before news actually be announced, which means if You bought coin for 100sat, You are selling 50% of the stack when it's 200sat, or accordingly to the price, You are selling bigger amount.
Remaining coins -You are either leaving it for actual time of announcment, or just leaving it for LONG term hold in Your folio-free coins that You can take the profit from later on.

B-Take percentage of Your investment, not lower than 50%, and just wait if big news are actually big, and then sell all of the stack for profit / leave it for long term.

Those are just examples strategies that You have to set, and have it locked in Your mind/orders BEFORE something actually happens.

If You don't do it, something like this might happen.
You invest small amount, You get hyped, You read some paid shilling threads on /biz/ about how this is new ETH, You are taking the bait, You selling Your other positions to FOMO in higher than You entry point, "big news" aren't actually big, You are posting pink wojak and left bagholding, Your money is locked in and You turn into a shill/blind follower yourself.

Don't learn this shit hard way, which was my way aswell.

If the strategies that You set for this particular trade won't work, maybe conference will not happen, because of tornado or something.
CUT YOUR LOSSES EARLY.
It's way better to lose 5-10% on 5% of Your capital, than lock Your 5% capital for a potential painly 6+ months bagholding event when You will turn into shill Yourself, and hurt other people. Karma works.

DYOR on everything, don't take anyone advice without double checking it in different sources, distance your mind from shills/fuders on this board. Take me as a dummy shill aswell.

And remember, everyone is a genius when everything is in green.

I wish you had been around 2 years earlier, based Anon. All those lessons are ones which I paid dearly for - by making mistakes and losing money.

For instance, I bought ADA on Oct 2nd for 507 sat and got impatient and feared for my capital so I sold Nov 27 for 520 sat. The very same ADA that went on up to >7500 sat. And I was fucking sure the thing had a bright future till overtrading out of boredom during the fall/winter bear market got the best of me.

I'm not the best out there, and I'm still learning and still will even if I make it in this field. Wanted to start this from January, since this board turned to 90% shit content. Learned a lot since I started here from early 2017, want to pass some basics to people like me from the past.
>>9036461
Hindsight 20/20. If I would hold all of my positions from may 2017 and sold all of them at peak, I would be multimillionaire. This wasn't my time, and rightfully so.People who made it had way more knowledge and training from me.Also some people were plain lucky. All of those failures are just experience, which I'm happy about.

The ambition to be the minority requires the balls to match it because pigs are the bravest of us all, few dare selling the bottom. Decentralization is about putting your trust where it belongs in others but always in yourself. It's to yourself you're accountable first. Taking and saving, not hoarding for the sake of hoarding because nobody really knows the worth any of it has. Once you know yourself you can try to know markets and once you spend enough time in markets questions about human capital are inevitable.

Make them courageous and make them proud.

I guess bad, archaic habit from when I've learned english in kindergarten through school. I'm not a native english speaker, and I want to create this posts in a manner that I'm speaking to a reader directly. Will take a closer look on that in the future.
>>9037444
No problem, just don't make mood delete my trip tho. I have an idea about continution of shilling lesson, which I'm gathering information for on daily basis. This is just another cycle of it, everyday there's a numerous fud + shill threads which I believe are made by group/groups of inividuals that are gathered on some discord which is targeting this board. Very common practice nowadays. I don't even open/read those threads anymore. I don't want to turn this thread into LINK discussion, basically DYOR and don't even come to /biz/ for advice on it. There were like 5 threads about Link being over when it dropped 5 cents, and now it's at 50 cents so, make your own conclusion.

Watch out for more clients under NDA ? The biggest news and actually a good move was to hire this Versace guy as CMO. Other than that, this conference was just a pure pump. They could literally tweet most of the information or do livestream without audience.

Not shilling or turning this into shilling for LINK. This was just an example.

The question was about oracle problem, and engineer answered from top of his head about Chainlink, and how they looked into it briefly and how they want to keep their chain open for any solutions. Briefly, which in corporate world means that he looked into it for under 5 minutes.

I don't think they bother to pay anyone. And don't play a "if" game too much. Not happy with the investment? Switch, but never look back, because it will be painful either way.
>>9038063
Depends on your capital. If it's small - You have to research projects in early stages, for a higher percentage gain. So everything above 1$ is a no basically. I try to research 1 coin on daily basis, and get updates on a lot on daily basis. I use coinmarketcap/biz/twitter/plebbit/charts and draw my own conclusions. I try not to read price predictions, and articles on 3rd party websites since they are mostly paid for. Double check everything. So far- twitter/biz are fastest news sites there are. I don't follow a lot on people on twitter, I just use $coin most of the time. At the end of the day, You will have to make a decision and put your money on it. Everything looks great on paper etc. There's no investment without a risk here.
