Just look at the daily chart, this thing is primed for taking off. It's been stagnant and hit its bottom for days. Last mooning was over 7 months ago, and this tech/team is probably one of the most undervalued coins on the market given its relatively low total supply. Another great undervalued coin to check out is SHIFT. It's built around decentralizing the internet through IPFS. It has an EXTREMELY low supply given its current value. They are definitely making progress, and if you look at coins that moon wildly, you'll notice that it usually happens after they've been around for a while. Actually I cashed out most of my crypto holdings at or around ATH, including most of my ark, though I still hold around 1300. I think at the height of the bubble I was just around six figures, and ended up cashing out $64k for the year of 2017. I started in late november of 2016 and got lucky with digibye, verge, and pivx. My initial contribution was around $2200. That's not a bad return, all things considered.

There is no incentive to buy the ARK token.
Even if everyone was using Ark (not happening since "multithreaded" VMs like Ethereum sharding are coming soon, which makes the whole sidechain concept of Ark obsolete), there would be no reason to hold the ARK token.

ARK can't be used to pay fees on the Ark network since the full VM only runs on sidechains. All projects running on Ark pay their blockchain network fees to their own delegates using their own token.
ETH has intrinsic value because it's used to pay miners/stakers for the execution of smart contracts on the Ethereum network.
Even the temporary sidechain-to-sidechain coinswaps carried out through the ARK token (even this isn't confirmed by the devs) do not give it value, since they work as a zero-sum game.

Cheap =/= undervalued. ARK tokens are not undervalued.

ARK seems like it faces some stiff competition from the likes of EOS, ETH, ICX and AION. However in this particular niche I think there can be multiple winners in the long term, unlike in the oversaturated currency coin market for example.

Also, I think all of these cryptos have a different enough approach that they can all do well over the next couple of years.

I hold a little ARK, but I'm pessimistic about this project for several reasons. I'd love to be proven wrong or to hear a reasoned response.
My problems with this coin:
1)Dev team insists on not posting deadlines for roadmap. The excuse is that they do this to ensure the best possible product, but come on. This is business, and they need to have milestones.
2)There seem to be a number of whales who are holding this price below ~$9 range. As soon as the price crosses $6, crazy sell walls go up that have suppressed the price.
3)Related to the above, for every coin or token, one notices that the wealth is concentrated in a few wallets. For ARK, this situation seems somewhat extreme, and lends itself to situations in which price is manipulated
4)Versus other platforms, ARK is listed on relatively few exchanges, and team seems slow/uninterested in remedying this.
5)ARK is still forming a business entity and has no partnerships to speak of. The team supposedly wants to wait for a finished product, but when they don't set deadlines on the roadmap....
