coinbase is a safe bet. they're insured.
you'll have to buy btc or eth, doesn't matter if you're buying link asap.

also make a binance account to buy link. once you have a binance account, authenticate with 2fa. that way you're a lot safer. Binance is also a very safe exchage.

please copy and paste this info because it'll probably get pruned. you don't lose money using my ref code, i just get a small percent that binance would get anyway.

on binance you'll go to markets then BTC or ETH. on the right side there will be a [trade] [deposit] or [withdraw]
find the [deposit] and copy your btc adddress.

go to coinbase. find your BTC wallet. and the [send] OPTION.

paste your btc address and after about 30 minutes it'll be in binance.

then you go LINK market and [TRADE] there will be BTC or ETH pairing. do BTC if you sent btc.

then you can market buy or limit. if you want to get it over with just market buy. if you set an order it might not fill at your projected price, and if you're new; chances are you'll get confused.

just click the 100% option under buy link and you'll get a check mark with a SUCCEED message. then click your profile icon (top right) and you'll see your links and estimated btc value.
