you're right, huge long term potential for a 51% attack lmao.
There is NO financial incentive to support this network but HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS of financial incentive to attack it.

Strong suspicion of paid shilling especially on reddit followed by massive FOMO. There were days where even here almost half the posts were about raiblocks. Their marketing was on point. Too bad their code wasn't lol.

That's s bingo, the coin does nothing, it's a premined Excel coin, ripple is just as fast, cost for ripple is ridiculously miniscule (and it works all the time) and has actual adoption

>> No.9015721

>>9015188
Yeah but to be fair ripple is fast due to their representative system.

The block lattice from a technology perspective vs the shared ledger is night and day. Instead of a server simply pinging back and OK because it is trusted (ripple) you have a classical blockchain on every account and eventual consistency across a network of reps chosen by the user.

Ripple has real world adoption, but I fail to see why businesses or banks will not just use privately hosted versions of the tech. Nano derives value from the coin eventually getting adopted by consumers.

The first real world adoption will be exchange arbitrage, all we need is listings on all major exchanges and fiat on ramps.

>>9014511
This.

>> No.9015894

>>9015721
Yea, the coin which is constantly disabled on exchanges will be the go-to arbitrage coin. Also, NANO is competing with bitcoin and 3rd gen blockchain network effects and the gap is growing much bigger daily in the latters favor. Investing in any currency coin aside from bitcoin is a fucking pipe dream, google network effects and metcafe’s law.

>> No.9016008

>>9015894
pretty sure they disabled it because of needing time to implement the universal block update.

>> No.9016072

>>9015894
This is honestly what makes it such a great deal. This coin has been nuked into the ground. It could not have started off any worse.

Then they fucked up when they did not insist on integration assistance when exchanges were setting up their nodes. These exchanges were supposed to be signing their own keys but instead just followed the standard node install guide. Then a bug was potentially identified in the Universal block transition that required an upgrade to patch.

This is a prime example of a developer focused organization, they have no idea how business or B2B project management work, but they have made an amazing piece of technology.

You can hate on it all you want, I see the flaws also, but everyone should hold 10-20 of these in their portfolio at least, if it does moon it will moon hard as fuck.

>> No.9016156

I bought this at 72k sats since it seemed to have found a solid support level and was already at the bottom at that point. All the hype that it had combined with the low price of now makes me think that's worth to hold this some more, it's hard to believe that it won't have a repump.

What do you guys think?
