yes, in October. It's not done well yet but the browser has consistently gotten better. I think it'll be a crazy ride soon.

Wouldn't an EOS dapp be like 1000 times better to do the same thing BAT would be used for?

A token that built on EOS, sure maybe. But that is far off in the future. Brave is getting ready to launch this much sooner than EOS can deliver. The brunt of the software is actually the browser (which is already the best on mobile and will be the best on desktop soon). Switching out a token that runs on ETH to EOS when EOS is ready will probably happen. Until then, EOS is just another ERC20.

EOS has a long way to go to prove itself. testnet performance isn't indicative of mainnet performance. Look at Nano, bragging about 7k testnet tps and then live stress tests achieved a peak of 300 tps. For some reason EOS shills love to pretend like everything about EOS is already complete and perfect

Well, steemit is already 1000 times better than BAT and its been out for awhile now and it doesn't need a browser.

You get some steem, power it up and upvote content creators you like. It works like magic. With bat you might as well just send fiat to the content creators pay pal.

I don't get it guys. I am having a really fucking hard time understanding why bat exists when steemit and EOS are infinitely better.

you clearly have no idea what BAT is and Im not going to spoonfeed you. But you do realize that in the rare event EOS proves itself to be superior to Ethereum, BAT could easily switch over right?

>you clearly have no idea what BAT is and Im not going to spoonfeed you.

You better start spoon feeding because you look like an idiot on a public forum.

If Steemit is a platform where upvotes generate new coins for content creators it is a fundamentally better system for promoting content creators. While BAT is fundamentally never going to be more than an ERC20 token which is basically Etherium with another name.

At that point Minds.com rewarding creators with Etherium is a superior method to reward content creators than BAT. Even paypal is superior to BAT as it stands right now.

Hell, Patreon is superior to BAT in practice.

Why the fuck you people promoting an ERC 20 token?

Make your favorite content creator create a Paypal account, Minds.com account, patreon account, Steemit account, EOS account.

All of which are fucking better!

>> No.9010297

BAT would be more likely to use Ark if they decided to switch platforms.

>independent deployable blockchain
>snapshot then transfer
>mutlipayment feature allows big batches of transactions to go out at once i.e monthly payments
>DPoS governance allows publishers companies to gain some influence and contribution to the platform
>doesnt even need to be dpos, its up to choice

Theres more reasons, but BAT wont change anytime soon, they have a good amount of faith in the scaling solutions proposed. Ethereums also got the most devs, most exposure, it makes sense to stick for now.

Steemit can be manipulated with bots faggot, not to mention Bat is focused towards mostly advertisers. Bat is also fundamentally different then steemit in how it rewards advertisers, did you even go to bats website?

That use of weak libtard persuasion, "you look like an idiot on a public forum" points to him being a reddit liberal. The libtards like to use techniques of singling people out of the group and calls to emotion to persuade people. Thats why they use protests with thousands of people so the new can parrot, "HEH, look goys, ALL THESE PEOPLE HATE GUNS, wow look at all of them, YOU want to BAN GUNS TO RIGHT ANON?"

It has no functionality to it outside of it being a token. Advertisers could use rocks and twigs equally effective.

Can you give a rough explaination of the economics of BAT? It would only take 5 minutes of reading to get up to speed.

Every single BAT thread has a couple of skeptics who turn out to have zero understanding of the token. I have yet to see a well reasoned arguement from a BAT skeptic. If you can be the first I'll happily send you $10 in the crypto of your choosing.

>> No.9010722

>>9010445
You honestly know nothing about crypto, period. Please get the fuck off this board and go back to /b/ where you belong.

EOS is literally nothing at this point. Its a pretend ticket that may one day become a blockchain, but most likely won't. So why do you think it can ever do the job BAT claims it will do. You notice how people replied to your first post about EOS with those pictures of retards, they did that because you are a retard for even suggesting EOS.

Since you literally said this
>Why the fuck you people promoting an ERC 20 token?
Then say that BAT should be replaced by STEEMIT or EOS. Which are both ERC 20 tokens. Do you not understand at all how stupid you are? I know you heard about crypto after december and have done literally no research on it. So how about instead of posting stupid shit on this board. You learn something about what you are talking about first. But since I know you won't do that. Just go back to /b/ please.

>> No.9010764

>>9010537
Dude you are so fucking dumb its actually painful to read what you write.

AN ERC 20 TOKEN THATS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE AN ERC 20 TOKEN ISN'T A BAD THING.

That's literally the entire point of ethereum. We don't need 5000 fucking blockchains that don't do shit.

>> No.9010822

>>9010571
But you are not addressing my concern. Look I am not even trying to fucking fud I am seriously wondering how the fuck BAT will survive during the dapp explosion we will be looking at after June first.

Someone will just do something similar that isn't tied to the brave browser using one of the many dapp capable coins out there and you end up with your collective dicks in your hands holding a functionally inferior ERC20 token.

>> No.9010962

>>9010722
>EOS is literally nothing at this point. Its a pretend ticket that may one day become a blockchain, but most likely won't.

Its literally the only coin that matters right now. Its probably to blame for the current bullish uptrend on the entire market.

> Which are both ERC 20 tokens.
Neither of them are functionally ERC20 tokens. One of them is an ICO and the other is a superior system that allows users to generate no coins by upvoting content they like.

You can literally apply the entire concept of BAT to steemit and have advertisers reward people with upvotes for viewing ads right now and it would be a superior system as it would not be limited to the brave browser.

>> No.9011143

I think its easier to sum this up that BAT is a brilliant idea with very poor implementation. The idea is fucking amazing. But the idea can be extrapolated to literally any platform with some kind of tokenized system.

I get that you guys are bullish on this but I cannot wrap my head around investing in an ERC20 token when I know some asshole is going to make something cooler in a month that isn't as limited.

For fucks sake... One bite asshole thats all you get.

>zooom zooom, open wide

Brave v1.0 is being released soon and will essentially be chrome with much betyer ad blocking. Shortly after BAT integration with chrome will be completed, then firefox. It will not be tied to the, brave browser. One extra bite, ads will begin running this summer... If you want to know what the implications are for that, read the god damn whitepaper.

If you can't research a project and come to your own conclusions enjoy being poor. If you ask anymore questions that could be easily answered by reading then you're unquestionably a reddit tier retard.

Ok so you are kicking the already dieing giants in the balls. Paying attention to the past while not looking at the up and coming trends in the future with an ERC20 token.

You people are going to be left high and fucking dry if you are not looking forward rather than back. Sure google and facebook are not going to survive the current trends.

What are you going to do when the next big EOS social media page lands and it has Bat like functionality already built in? Whats going to happen when your ERC20 token is redundant because people literally just coopt the same idea for themselves?

Look ill leave the thread now, but you have not convinced me that BAT is worth a heavy investment. I dont think its a scam, I think its a great idea. But this shit is going to get fucked hard once the token becomes redundant.

Which is a fucking certainty because of how good the idea is in the first place.
