My first buy was in 2014, but I never read enough about the space because I had so little at risk of losing. Now that the amount is not so little and I’ve read plenty of arguments, the right thing to do seems to be to cash out significantly. Besides being a p&d instrument, what other use cases are there?

Bitcoin's killer app is energy arbitrage. It stores the value of cheap electricity where it is mined which would otherwise be wasted.
BCH is unironically the real Bitcoin, though. BTC wants to move away from proof of work, their selfish mining scam is how they plan to brainwash r/bitcoin sheep

Only idiots really think crypto will take over on a global scale
The smart people all know deep down inside, this whole market is based on greater fool theory

And trust me, there are A LOT of them which is why this shit show is still around
>duuhhhrrr smart contracts will change the world anon

Fuck right off, i'm here to make money as are 90% of us.

in all seriousness, anyone who doesn't think that smart contracts will legitimately change the way the world works is braindead

think about how absurdly important it is to be able to lock things into infallible code, removing the element of trust.

block chain technology is gonna be a key component in the internet of things. were moving into a new tecnological revolution with automation, ai, 3d priniting, neural computing and block chain technology

to sell now would be like backing the type writer over the desktop pc in the year 1990

There’s a theory floating around that the Swiss franc is tanking at the moment because Russian oligarchs got spooked by the sancations and are now are moving into crypto.
So I guess circumventing moronic sancations (muh gas attack) is another use case for crypto.

i see the possibility friends
But let's be honest

I should have worded this better, the reason why these coins are worth so much
Is the greater fool theory
So far they are not even worth half of their fucking market cap

Do you know how many normies are in this market, or soon to be in this market because they think it's a rich quick scheme? Most people use this market as a way to increase their fiat stack.

Geopolitics podcasts, blogs, forums. It’s just speculation but CHF fell at the same time as BTC started to rally.

1) Oldfags are too secretive.
2) Or in general they don't actually know too much about what they're doing and why.
