Which material goods are essential or very helpful when STARTING to make good money nowadays, as an entrepreneur?

There are good investments that can boost your potential for money making, for example:
>A good photo camera (I'm talking about a 1500$ camera) for boosting your social reputation.
>A peaceful place to live that it takes very little money to maintain. Ideally it would be an office that could work as a zen apartment. Offices are very cheap and tax deductable.
>Transportation + gas.
>Healthy food, and meetings at restaurants with partners and clients.
Ideally you pay for all of this with tax deductions from your startup. You buy all of this as a part of your business. So your taxes pay for it.

On the opposite:
>If you buy a house you are tied to the place and/or in a worse financial situation due to debt, and lack mobility.

What else?

It has been very helpful to me, and I have 3 startups: one about fermented foods, another about audiobooks and a web design one.

I've made good deals because I had a good personal website besides the official startups websites, with great photos with "cool people" which were mostly entrepreneurs from working class backgrounds.

In my experience you can't fake wealth to meet old money people ("sorry, which was your boarding school, again?"), but you can look serious and dedicated, and some can appreciate that.

A $1500 camera is not necessary to take website pictures. Smartphone cameras are more than enough
