I did a whole thread on the bearish divergence between the RSI & MACD and price action. When that divergence caused a price slippage we started our way down. Most people cannot call a cup and handle right. Head and shoulders are a bit easier but the simple stuff that gets laughed at (death cross & bearish divergence at the same time) are why we are going down for 5-7 days.

The problem with deathcrosses is they occur in sideways markets as much as they occur in downswings. If you think this is a sideways market then this deathcross means little, as a golden cross is right around the corner. But I don't think this is a sideways market, I think it is still in a massive downswing.

Kinda like trading strategies focused on the MACD alone. If you look for bullish and bearish crosses the best you can do is pull in 11%ish. But if you use the MACD crosses while looking for bearish and bullish price action divergence you can get a whole lot more effective.
