Are there any anons who love LINK but think REQ is a piece of shit? Or vice versa? Just genuinely curious, and what your reasons are. These seem like the board's ultimate buttbuddy coins.

>> No.8918988

i like both, but im all in Link, since more REQ == less linkies.

i bought link because of the shilling here on /biz/

it seems like chainlink is a slam dunk but depends on large companies even wanting to be a part of the block chain. i think chainlink will moon eventually but it might not happen for a long time.

All in Link with 250k
I think Request will be made irrelevant by an incumbent payments provider that Sergey has been dealing with behind closed doors. And even if not, it's just a payments platform with no reason to hold the token.

I like REQ but think LINK is a piece of shit. It's fucking vaporware. If the REQ team wasn't working with it I wouldn't have faith in it. I like the idea but fucking get it out already sirgay.

one solves a problem that's a major hurdle for global wide-spread adoption
the other provides a service a simple script running on any existing exchange with a fiat on-ramp could also do

I hold both. Absolutely bullish on LINK but I think REQ is a piece of shit and don’t see why it’s so popular, but I bought it at 4 cents and rode it since so hopefully it can get a similar run soon as in December, which is basically the only reason I’m holding it.

>good
Yeah, no they're both fucking shit

What's the even fucking point of REQ?
Payments or some shit? Every coin can act as a payment, it's probably just some flashy managment system on top of it like Paypal.
I literally don't understand the hype at all.

I'm skeptical about Req since the usecase seems generic and almost dime-a-dozen

>> No.8919331

Its one of the only coins that will take money outside the market instead of being an investor ponzi. The payment app solves the problem where nobody actually uses crypto and people only hold it to try and cash out later. It has numerous apps in development. The point is more widespread crypto adoption through REQ and an uncoupling of the market from BTC.

Idk for me the req token feels like a needlessly convoluted way of enriching the req foundation.

What's the point of holding it other than that you expect it to increase in value because they burn some with each transaction? Some goes to the team developing it but why couldn't it just be an open source protocol that the companies benefiting from it expend some resources to develop, while other companies pay for consulting and custom integration services. Similar to linux, and rather than having an artificial fee that isn't actually necessary to transact on the network only to pay people to keep working on it.

It might work out, but it's a completely new "business" model that just doesn't sit right with me.

110k linkie here. 65k at ICO then just traded my way up cos unifag. Never bought REQ ever lol. Think it’s just some stupid payment plug. No doubt it’ll prob go up, but my number one rule is to never lose any LINK. I make very small trades with mid size stacks, like 22k and buy back 110 sats lower; around 2.5%. More than happy with doing that once a day or every 2 days or so.

i think token burning will be the new era for companies to raise capital and also allow investors to have more of a "stake" in the companies future growth

Not going to call it a bad project but what call would you make given this scenario: You go back in time to 1993 in a parallel universe where shares in the https protocol exist. Would you sooner invest in https or Paypal?

Small stakes here, link - req 2:1 - either is unlikely to moon, but if they both would get large scale adoption, REQ might even go higher of the two,- However, I think it chances to succeed are even more remote.

>> No.8921178

I sold 100% of my Link for req.
Link: vaporware chanshit without any major backers. I don't understand why linkies enjoy the smell of their own fart.

Req: Big partnership, ycombinator, you don't have to dig too deep to figure out they'll most likely succeed.

>> No.8921229

Kek this fucking thread. Mostly in LINK but have REQ also. Say it with me because most of the REQ holders already know and are just FUDing.
TRIPLE. ENTRY. ACCOUNTING.
REQ is a LINK failsafe. It’s solid and will moon like a fat drunk girl. Just not as much as LINK will, at least not in the same timeframe. Honestly I had REQ hoping it would moon so I could buy more LINK but apparently that was retarded since it’s more of a chicken and egg situation. REQ needs LINK to take off short term for the payment aspect... accounting aspect will probably take more time for adoption. But fuck it will be tasty when it does.

Vaporware
> working testnet
> constant updates on git
> invited to talk at, not just participate in major events like sibos
You're clearly a retard who doesn't understand what vaporware actually means. Please stick to lurking.
