According to TA, the price will go up next. Not down.
>>8905993
No, not really. Liquidating positions was a catalyst for trend reversal. It painted the bullish signals for traders, who will now trade on those signals. The same thing happens at the top. Something STRONG and not just technical has to basically create the market in a surprising way which traders will then react to. It's more likely Bitcoin's price will go back up now then down.

What about the fact that trading volume keeps decreasing for bitcoin and the market as a whole while the price inches up?

I have conflicting signals. Bearish divergence in RSI telling me this is about to drop like a rock but also a possible ascending triangle. I am going to trust my gut on this and say it's going to drop to ~7500 before going to 8.6k.

TA is definitely a useful tool, and anyone thinks it's witch magic or bullshit is a moron who should stop trading this second and go read about it first. It's not perfect, it's not like physics where you have a known quantity like gravity but it gives you pathway possibilities and once certain movements happen you can determine that pathway with much better precision.

Go check haejin on steemit. He has intro videos on Elliot Waves. That's the bare minimum of what you should know before buying or selling a single thing on any market.

He's using GDAX, the expert version of Coinbase.

He's looking at a "candlestick chart".

That's the price of the main bitcoin (BTC), but GDAX let's you buy three other bitcoins: BCH, ETH, and LTC.

When I saw the shorts hitting a big ATH, I said they were gonna get rekt from whales hunting for the margin calls. The next day it happened. That shit was obvious as fuck.

I was totally waiting for it, seeing shorts at ATH on BTCUSDSHORTS on TradingView, and yet they couldn't even drive the price down anymore, and it just kept bouncing on 6500 despite shorts still increasing.

I was TOTALLY waiting for a huge green dildo on the BTCUSD chart and a huge red dildo on the BTCUSDSHORTS chart.

The problem is that you can't tell WHEN it'll happen, so it's not something I'd have bet on with leverage. Because as they say "the market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent". Tb.h I was quite surprised it happened so soon, I was expecting the whales to let it sit at 6500 for a while longer, gathering more shorts to liquidate.

shorts were already at fucking ATH. when something is at ATH you always do something with that fact.

>>8906553
a fucking textbook pump on the end of a wedge is not a trend reversal and especially not bullish. it is not like all the burned monkeys will throw in their money again now right after it pumped 1k$ in 20 minutes. this is just delusional.

>>8906712
>>8906725
exactly this. it failed 3 times now to break 8200$ and is literally triple top. nobody touches that for a while. if whales want to push the price beyond that they need quite some money to throw at it to only push it like 200$ higher. much easier to liquidate some longs at this point after all the retards are in BULL NOW mode again.

market sentiment doesn't fucking change with one 1h candle.
