I'm high and had a thought

If companies want to use the chainlink smartcontract, they have to pay in link, thats what pays the node operators.
There could be smart contracts written to automatically convert fiat into link (at the current price) to pay for the smart contract.
So this means the companies using the network wouldn't even need to pay with link directly, it could be converted via smart contract.
Also this means that some nodes could be connected to the smartcontract network for jobs, the system could sustain part of itself, while still earning profit for node operators
