Andre Kostolany:
Never chase a stock nor a tram.
Both will come around again anyways.

Keep to this principle and you will never have a "am I fucked?" - feeling again.

No, it's possible this is a fake run up before tax time so whales can dump for taxes at a higher value. Which would mean that it'll dump in the next few days.

But then again it's possible the market is just overdue for a little pump after we finally hit bottom too. It's your choice which you choose to believe.

Is everyone forgetting that BTC went to almost $12k after it dropped below $6k? And then it went from nearly $12k right back down to $6,500. It would not surprise me if BTC goes back to $7k. Don't beat yourself up about it.

When did you sell for $7,100 anyways? I believe the bull run started when BTC was under $7k. So you tethered up pretty damn early. Things started to settle down around the $7700-ish range later in the day so I wouldn't have blamed you for Tethering at that point. But $7,100 was jumping the gun pretty early.

That's not how taxes work.

But what really happened is one or a few rich guys wanted to stow money away from possibly IRS levies on their funds, knowing the IRS would come after them anyway. That pumped the price up just enough for the shorts to be liquidated and thousands of stop loss buys to trigger, sending the price exploding upwards. Bullish traders then saw bullish targets and breakouts being met and started price averaging in on day 2 (today). This is a beautiful chain reaction but it's actually fairly typical for Bitcoin. Soros' theory of markets and their momentum tendencies was correct.

No anon, not making money doesn't mean you lost.
Playing safe will pay in the long term

There's no way to really call the top and bottom. But when the momentum is starting to swing in a bullish direction, it doesn't make sense to just sell right there and then. I usually wait until the price dips below the 2.5hr moving average at the very least before I even think about selling. I don't sell the very top this way (there is no way to call the top anyways). But I still sell near the top this way. Unless I get caught in a bear trap. Which happens to me all the time. I got caught in a pretty bad eth bear trap 3 days ago. Now eth is way up over BTC during that same period and I left a lot of money on the table

I hope this shit isn't real...I got out a bit better at 7700 but naturally it pumped to 7900 an hour later. Typical. Are we gonna see bart prime this week?

That was the dead cat bounce to 12k though. OP will probably be ok as long as he’s patient. This mini bull run isn’t lasting.
