Nothing went wrong?
People act like facebook were evil and sold peoples data.

(friend) uses app that collects your liked stuff, and also gathers all of your friends likes (this was fb's mistake). app now has 87 million users collected. cambridge analytica buys the collected data and uses it for trumps election.

Nothing, faceberg is just another scapegoat for the Russia narrative and a nice vessel for pushing more leftist regulations. Ultimately faceberg is buddy buddy with globalists and will have its competition regulated out of business like in other industries

Every industry's heavily regulated except tech. That's going to come to an end when Democrats get back into power.

One called for data to be treated like financial information. One called for a data fiduciary duty. One implied Facebook could be held liable for crimes coordinated though their systems via negligence. Ultimately I think each of these will come to pass and only larger tech companies will be able to deal with it

Bullish long term, bearish after boomers all die off
