Most southern states will suffice. Low cost of living, warmer weather, $ goes a lot farther down there. I was looking at places in Dallas Metro area and you can literally get a small house (plenty for a neet shack) for under $100k. I imagine it's even cheaper an hour outside of any southern city too.
