Okay /biz/ I've been doing crypto full time since start of 2017.

AMA about any coin in the top 100 and I'll give you legit FUD about it.

SKY - Obelisk hasnt been implemented yet and the whole chain is still running on a couple masternodes controlled by the devs. The management/business aspect for Sky was very weak until about 2 months ago in which they got a new team who is doing a killer job (SharkCIA; Same guys who ran a lot of the vechain marketing).

Nas currently trying to compete in oversaturated space. Namely Eos and Cardano both have effective governance models that it will have to outshine (admittedly I haven't looked into Nas for a while though).

sigh... has a jumbled dev team (less than half the size of original eth team) and probably won't be around in a few years - they cannot compete with ethereum let alone all of the new stuff coming in q2-q4 this year

TRX is actually surprisingly good despite the amount of FUD it gets (it has one of the most active githubs). But Justin's dodgy ```marketing``` strategies may be a problem in the foreseeable future with regulations etc.

Currently slow and hard to scale (puts it at risk of being 'easily' overtaken one day). Also, an avid bitcoin user can achieve the same level of privacy as monero if they are smart (it just takes slightly more effort).

Wanchain's idea is pretty good although their current github is relatively weak - they have only added OTC (one time address usage) on top of the forked ethereum code. Using the ethereum code also limits itself in terms of functionality compared to potential competition (again, see Cardano, Eos etc.). They will have to come with their interop features soon if they want to stay relevant.

Neo is currently highly centralised. There are only 7 nodes that are all controlled/have been approved by the Neo foundation that control consensus on the network. In addition to being centralised, the network has also crashed numerous times during time of high traffic (see Trinity's ico etc.)

Terrible governance model which means making it terribly weak compared to other coins in terms of ```innovating``` - though this is just a biproduct of decentralisation that almost every other coin has.

If so, when do you thknk??

Team is rather 'lackluster' in comparison to other teams when it comes to working on the Ark project. Also the current fee model means that there will always be a 'set fee' (unlike the dynamic fees in 99% of other chains) when transacting which poses a potential governance problem once/if it ever gets large enough for fees to ever become an issue. Also, competition in interop is v. high. Wanchain, Aion, Icon have all teamed up and then there is gavin wood's (ex-CTO of ethereum) project Polkadot that will probably blow all of them out the water when it launches. In order to guarantee safety Ark will probably have to 'pivot' to support a more niche use case.

Coca-Cola Kid is a potential problem once regulations come for listing on more major/legit exchanges. Also Sunny came into the telegram chat and told people that he buys and sells ven on the open market (again, potential regulation issue). Not much else to say fundamentally. In terms of 'market value' though, due to the marketing startegies, a lot of ven hodlers are of the same demographic as tron, verge etc. buyers which means potential uneducated/weak hands.

sigh... I rather dislike xrp because it's pretty centralised in how the UNL's are set up and also the fact that it's working with banks (which is the complete opposite of what bitcoin was created for; "you are your own bank").

Despite the fact, it'll probably end up doing relatively well in the future due to the connections and partnerships they have made. The team is also, arguably, one of the most professional in crypto.

They have delayed/missed a few deadlines in the past which makes it hard to trust the team's professionalism to take it to the ```next level```. I have also heard from several sources that the team fell out with the contractors who built the "loop" functionality for them. From a market perspective the "korean eth" meme is not good at all for the project in the long run. Especially due to the fact that eth "brand" is currently being threatened by several projects already. I quite like ICX though.

CEO of their "partnership" is a 9 year old, token is designed in a way to never exceed $1, team released jBonds to trick investors into holding their now defunct JNT for long enough for the team to dump their own JNT, team has missed literally every deadline they announced and under-delivered, also spreading themselves thin with a bunch of extra vaporware designed to fool you into thinking your JNT isn't absolutely worthless.
