Not true. One constantly forces updates on you while deleting your work without giving a shit. It also crashes every two fucking minutes and bakes ads deep into the operating system. Not to mention it's the most unfriendly environment to code in. Windows is basically like the US using the imperial system while the rest of the world is on metric. My Arch install runs flawless and I can do almost everything via keyboard. Windows is such a slow buggy piece of shit. Linux boots in 3 seconds. After minutes on this machine, Windows is still not done starting all its background shit and fucked up drivers and services.

I've heard self-proclaimed IT experts claim Windows crash all the time for the last 20 years, but I've had perhaps 10 crashes since windows 7. My updates have been disabled for years. I don't touch my screen because my desktop computer is for work. Never had any trouble with drivers, permissions, file explorer.
