Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

question for anyone who knows more about covered calls

so lets say that im neutral to bearish on my long position in the near term. my options (kek) are limited for strikes to sell at on the underlying (every 2.50). what is the major drawback for selling calls that are already ITM? i understand if you get assigned, then it will call away your stock at the strike price, which if its ITM, would cause you to sell at a "loss" (which should be the same as the premium more or less, id assume).

are there any other drawbacks to selling calls ITM that im missing? it seems like the far better premiums you can get are worth it if you think the stock is going to go down in the near term anyways.

word, thats what i assumed.
one more question if you have time. if the options market has no or low volume, i wont be able to sell a contract no matter what i set my limit at, right? theres a couple relatively quiet REITs i wanna hedge against in the near term and this seems like the best bet (im very inexperienced with covered calls obviously), but i cant seem to sell a contract no matter how hard i try.

apologies for being a noob (and i do greatly appreciate the response), i normally just do swings and quick stuff and speculative plays when i use options, but im trying to set up some decent hedges on some REITs for longterm dividend type shit (and to lock some of my money away from myself to keep me from small speccing it all away like a tard) so this is uncharted waters for me.

Im not an expert and I'm still learning how to play options myself so no problem. Its hard to sell options contracts on low volume or low open interest option contracts are correct.

See pic for example, it will be easier to open and sell a contract to a strike that has the most open interest and volume. Thinks far out of the money generally dont see action unless the strike price changes a lot.

They would either transfer the holdings to another company to manage the ETF (as they'd be force to sell profitable components of their business during a bankruptcy), or they could liquidate the fund over a period of time and they'd just give you the cash. The latter option is probably last resort as it could have unintended tax implications for the holders of the fund, so they would try to avoid that route.

Next bubble pop we'll already be at unsustainable government debt levels.
The demographic shift will ensure no austerity measures are set in place.
The government will either default or hyper inflate away the debt.

Stocks and real estate will increase in dollar value but not enough to offset the loss in relative purchase power to today.

Gold and crypto are overvalued for other reasons.

Trump's game plan is as follows :

This would be the ideal scenario which will translate to a somehow sideway overall growth

If we could not figure out what his economic policies where or retain one good economic cabinet member (all of them have quit). there is no chance in hell he would know what to do if shit hits the fan.

So far he has increased the deficit, increased meme spending, decreased social welfare programs, decreased tax revenue streams, deregulated wall street, and the banks. It's a complete disaster.

There is one huge tumor called the military complex siphoning tax dollars meant to deleveraging and stop the issuance of new credit, and this mofo just increased it, and placed a prowar jew as secretary of defense, it's terrible.

So far California is running a budged Surplus after increasing taxes, and leads the highest GDP growth compared to the rest of the US, This is what the US needs to do, raise taxes to reduce the money supply and deleverage, stop meme spending in the pentagon, and don't fuck with tariffs or push a nationalist agenda.

This is only partially correct. While the analysis works for basically every country in the world, it does not and will not work on USA.

The reason is the dollar is used to trade for oil, the single most demanded commodity in the world. So the inflatory effects of the money printing is not spread across the goods and services the US produces, but across all the global oil production as well. This significantly dilutes inflation. And no country can afford to dump all their dollar or they won't be able to buy a single drop of oil.

And now you know why the US keeps a fuckhuge army to fuck up "dictators" around the world. It's not about getting access to their oil, it's about controlling how oil is traded.
