you just gotta have enough cash on the side to keep it from liquidating on short squeezes

The trend is your friend, start at weekly charts and zoom into your preferred timeframe and prioritize positions that go in the direction of the trend, you have to have reasonable stop losses in place (use stop market orders with close on trigger selected), never use cross leverage (looks deceiving and often leads to over sizing of orders), cost average your entries in and finally only enter with 10-25% of your account and leave the rest for hedging, adding (when its profittable and on breakouts), delvering (if it goes tits up but you believe in the position long term/don't want to stop it out) - combined with stop losses that gives you 4 options to manage risk when the market goes against you. 15x is pretty high leverage when you think about it -6.66% = liquidation of your margin, I'd recommend actually grinding on lower leverage like 5x with a focus on consistency over gains, aim for something like 1% a day if you are serious trader. If not then you shouldn't be on Bitmex in the first place other than to perhaps hedge your holdings by opening a leveraged short (a better alternative to moving back to fiat). Then once you've made say 10% or so you can reward yourself and withdraw 5% of the gains back to your wallet and send 1% of that 5 into a new Bitmex account and then play with high leverage like that, once you get good at sniping (and providing mex isn't fucking you over with overloaded orders) you can 100x and probably be successful a lot of the time. Now get back to work and build up some fresh capital to buy these incoming BTC lows and get back to it. You are gonna make it!

Even 2x leverage is too high. Look at the volatility of btc, it's in the hundreds in just one day. Only leverage if you know what you're doing.

This guy fucks.
I'm on 8-9x leverage most shorts, this shit aint going up and up until it at least goes to 7.3k first, fake outs and reversals can fuck themselves.
I hate day-trading so I don't try and scalp the bounces, just hold the shorts until it hits big resistence. Took profit at 7.5k today, shorting again with liquidation at 8470.

you will lose your first 2-3 deposits and then give up in the end.dont fall for the get rich quick stories.bitmex, finex, etc are going to take all your money.if you really want to learn stuff you must start very low (10 dollars or coffee money) when you lose them all just make another deposit (half of the original deposit) in the end if you lose 15 dollars isn't a big of deal.

It's a good question. I don't know the answer. I'm not sure that you have to reveal the exchange you used when reporting gains.

A lesson for you biz. I started on Bitmex a few weeks ago. Made 6 great trades in a row and was up 500% on initial investment. Thought I was a god, was picking a new car and everything.

Well I got greedy and now its all gone.
