I must be the only idiot just riding this out. My only big move today was selling all my $NFLX to break a little profit. The rest will stay, we'll bounce back up long term.

If you want to make money, you have to ride the storm.

The only losing moves are selling low or never buying. The only people happy with the dip are educated people that know to buy low and uneducated frogposters that never got into the stock market in the first place and have nothing else to feel better in their lives that the (non existent) misfortune of the ones who invested.

yeah but when is low? You'd have to be pretty retarded to think this is low. We'll see a drop for some weeks and maybe a bull trap in september or october. I'll see where it goes, maybe start DCA in january

>> No.861721

>yeah but when is low?
When are you people going to accept that nobody is omniscient. There's no way to know when it's going to bottom. Buy regularly fixed amounts and you get more shares when it's low and less whenever it's high.

It's a fucking simple, straight forward process. But apparently everybody has a knack for failure.

You guys do know that you haven't lost any money? Its all on paper. Its not real until you pull out of the market. The market will go back up, this is just a minor correction because China doesn't want to admit that their market has collapsed. They will enter some form of a recession. Worse case scenario they go into a depression, and plunge the world into a recession.
>>860967
It will go back up. If it goes down indefinitely, then the US will cede to exist as a country. That's how safe your money is in the market. If it collapses then the world is finished.
>>860890
This anon is right. Look at the trend of the SP500 since its inception. Its been going up.

>> No.861765

>>861760
The Nikkei still hasn't reached its old bubble high after decades and Japan still exists as a country. Bad policies can really fuck over a stock market.

>> No.861772

>>861765
Japan is a special case. They have too many old folk who depend on the welfare of the government. Also the old outnumber the youth. Which means no new workers or money being put into the economy. Japan will bounce back in 20 years. China will experience this as well. Their old outnumber their youth. The US doesn't have bad policies, and they have both industry and government hawks that monitor the market for any Nikkei syndrome.

>They have too many old folk who depend on the welfare of the government. Also the old outnumber the youth
so europe is up next?

in addition to old people relying on government they also have a ton of immigrants with millions more to come

>> No.861785

>>861778
Not quite. Europe does have a healthy old/youth ratio. Yet low birth rates. But immigrants sort of prop up the birth rates. Europe won't have a Japan issue. This was solely a Japanese thing.

>>861785
good to hear, but europe has really low birthrates INCLUDING immigrants. Germany is lowest of the world atm, even below japan and they have like 5-6% turks who pump out babies like european welfare will be sustainable forever.

>> No.861793

>>861789
Immigrants in Europe don't procreate as much as hte media is telling you. They're procreating at the same rate as the natives. Germany has a low birth rate because the government doesn't want a booming population. Its not like the US which is in dire need of more population. Most of the US is empty. So that means land that can't be used for farming, housing, etc. Immigrants in the US have negative birth rates. Worldwide people are having less kids. Its the economic boom that's helping this population correction.
