wouldn't cost more than a few thousand. If something moons you make a nice profit, if something goes into the dirt you only ever lose $10.

Things will go into the dirt, and then "moon". I.e. everything will just go into the dirt.

This approach can be good for bullish periods, though, but you'd prob do a hell of a lot better going into five "good" projects instead, that have a low chance of failure.

Best expected returns are still with BTC. But also lowest returns, when they happen.

No, it actually isnt a good idea. Most coins die every year. Better to do your research and put 100-200$ into every solid project, which is the top 25 coins on cmc.
