People HAVE to pay their debts because they have a limited life-span.

I'd say it differently. As long as dollar supply roughly matches dollar demand we don't have to worry. If the world is littered with dollars it doesn't matter what the demand is, the price is still zero.

Increasing the debt increases the supply of dollars. If we increase the supply while demand is steady, the price declines. Ask Venezuela how far this can go.
