>3400 euros a month for a chem eng with socialist level taxes

this tard is only telling half of the story.

> 380 euro's a month in scholarship grants

It's a student loan not a grant and you have to pay it back.

>70 euro's a month healthcare benefits

you pay like 120 or 160 and you automatically get 70 back on the 20th each month.

>3400 euro a month

that' before tax.. after tax you have left +- 2000.

Mongool...

>without having any debt

underrated gold.

My undergrad was free because I got scholarships, since I busted my ass hard. All my other classmates are probably STILL paying off school debt close to 10yrs later.

Most people I've worked with were still paying off school loans, so they didn't contribute to their retirement accounts (leaving the company match on the table), and were living paycheck to paycheck without savings. And these were fucking Engineers! They were making a very decent paycheck.

Chem Eng could easily pull a 6 figure salary here. Hell, I clear 3200 after taxes working at a fucking grocery store lol.

It's a risk v. reward kind of thing.

Things are more relaxed in Europe and there is much less risk of becoming destitute. In return you get paid less.

If you prefer higher risks for higher rewards you can always setup shop on your own but most people don't bother because they are pretty happy working 35 hours a week as long as the salary is adequate compared to the cost of living.

Wat is die binnen 10 jaar onzin waar je het over hebt. Stufi is afgeschaft, al het geld dat je nu leent moet je daadwerkelijk terug betalen.

Gotta compare cost of living and salary together. One alone doesn't mean shit. Go make 100k in SF and go live in the tenderloin with the prostitutes and tar babies. Or make 100k per year in Nebraska and live like a king in a mansion. It's likely that OP's 40 or so thousand per year will go just as far as 100k in NYC, for instance.

When you see OECD income and wealth statistics Americans still have more net worth which means that they still get to save a larger percentage of their take home pay.

Europe only redeems itself because of it's better economic mobility (again from OECD statistics) which was what OP was basically boasting about.

Wat denken jullie ervan om bij IB/DUO maximaal bij te lenen en dit in mijn langetermijn portfolio te investeren? De rente op het geld van DUO is 0.12%
