>"Oh hey anon ! You haven't been here in years. How are those cryogen coins or whatever they're called going for ya? :) Last I heard they were made illegal, wait were you in prison? Anyway that'll be 100 good old patriotic us dollars backed by its citizens, infrastructure, army, and gold reserves! I feel so safe under our madam president Oprah."

>t. burger redneck or shitlib pretending to be all about globalism but knowing nobody outside of their city block
if you traveled at all or had international friends, if you ever dealt with outrageous fees, conversion rates, delays, card blocks for "fraudulent" activity, you wouldn't ask this question
the value proposition of crypto is obvious to anyone who's not stuck in one place, and that's just the tip of the iceberg (buttcoin). if you're in business as a decision-maker and not a peon, it's obvious smart contracts will replace much of the existing governance infrastructure even if nobody knows the exact time horizon
investing money in crypto is a gamble, investing time and effort in the technology is essential for anyone who's someone or plans to be

The Weimar Republics money was backed up by it's citizens, infrastructure, army and gold reserves and that didnt help them too much.
