Binance need to buy BNB from the market as they sold the majority of their holdings to protect profits.

It is Binance interest to do this close to the burn date so BNB price is high and they don't have to burn as much.

They also don't want to be accused of price manipulation so they do it gradually over 3-4 weeks ahead of burn date.
