Popular brokers for stock trading:
Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open
http://www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on cash/securities and fees from their Robinhood Gold service

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Interactive Brokers

Options are contracts (derivitives) that give you the right to buy a certain amount of a certain equity within a given window of time. Kind of like pre-ordering. People rarely use options in this way. They usually just trade the contracts. Using the to hedge and bet on or against specific equities.

lets say you buy a call option for $1 on ARMS with a strike price of $10 and an expiration of December. then, when the option expires in december, you have the option to buy a share of AMRS for $10. So if AMRS goes to $15, you made $4 and if it goes to $9.99, you lost $1.

put options are the reverse. you have the option to sell 1 share of AMRS for $10.

the exact fucking thing that happened to /pol/ really, just in the opposite direction. the fucking retards actually believe that no one is going to stop them when they try to gas the kikes and establish a white ethnostate. i miss when /pol/acks were just a bunch of lolbergs desu. there was more in depth discussion about the hows and whys of every scenario. now its just the jews, even when its in regards to things that the jews are more or less irrelevant in. for fucks sake, i saw a post on cripplechan a couple days ago that was saying that the fucking clarinet (the instrument) was invented by jews to make music more ugly. i mean, really?

fucking retards, all of them. everyones a fucking extremist nowadays. its a side effect of the times. frankly, the only people that are thinking clearly are the people that are here trying to learn how to take advantage of the most action in the markets in years.

WE are going to be the ones who come out ahead here, not right or left wing political dissidents. we will take advantage of the situation, and 10 years from now /leftypol/ will be screeching about how we are all "porkies" or "1%ers", while /pol/ will be kvetching about how were all fucking kikes. and neither of them will have any money.

The fact they generally keep to themselves (gated communities) gives the false impression they are not a bother. The contrary of mudslimes and nigs for example. Plus the fact their culture doesn't praise violence and destruction.

But generally, chinks thrive when they can break the rules and customs of the indigeneous people.
For example : in Christian countries, nobody works on sunday. But the chinks don't care and as a result, the native people can't compete.

And you can generalize this fact on a whole country and you understand why Trump got angry with his trade tariff and shit.

1. are they usually really 1 dollar per option?
2. What are the different time frames are they very restricted, and whats strategic?
3. If im understanding right - once the option is bought that money is Gone.
-if it goes to 15, I can but as many shares as I have options for 10 dollars a piece.
-if it doesn't hit 10, I lose it all

and how much does it cost to buy a call on 100 shares of say AMRS.
And what are the date ranges and how do they effect price of the option?

and like I asked, once you buy the option, the money is gone basically.
If it doesn't hit my call price, its basically valueless (using he contract to buy at a price higher than current, is useless)

But if I buy a 100 calls at 10 dollars for a dollar apiece, and the price goes past my 10 dollar call - but only to say 10.50

both, you can do credit spreads where you sell an out of the money option and buy a further out of the money option to hedge it. So if you were bullish on something sell an out of the money put and buy a further out of the money put. Your risk is equal to the difference in the strikes, and you just get a credit for the premium. Then when they expire out of the money you just keep the premium.

Say the underlying assest was like 10 bucks, I was thinking it would go down so I sold a call with an 11 dollar strike and bought a call with a 12 dollar strike. Say I collected 20 cents for the 11 dollar one I sold and paid 5 cents for the 12 dollar one I bought. So I was going to make like 15 cents per contract as long as the price stayed below 11 before they expired. When I saw it was going up and was like $10.50 I ended up paying quite a bit to just cover the short option, thing shot up like crazy so the long options ended up being deep in the money when I ended up selling them closing the position entirely prior to the expiration date.

the sad part that you dont realize, is that 4chan used to be full of helpful autists who, while they may fuck with you, were generally quite intelligent, helpful, and sympathetic to other fellow neckbeards, so long as you could see beyond the keyboard courage. the shitposty idiot bullshit (as well as the site being notorious for CP) came as a result of goons. fuck goons. redditors came here and then played monkey see monkey do, and now, over 10 years fucking later, here we are.

Covered calls is something you can take advantage of when you have a lot of stock, and want to make some extra money when the market is kinda moving sideways. I mean the worst thing that happens is the option expires in the money and your stock gets called away and sold for what ever price.
