Anything non-decentralized has a 99% chance of failing. XRP is one of the rare few non-decentralized coins that may happen to make it, but even then, the importance and value of the majority of its partnerships are way overblown. The best coins with the best odds of survival are:

>mineable (most small PoS coins will never make it since PoS only works on a large scale)
>presently decentralized (not "planing to be" in 2-10 years)
>non-erc20 token
>not niche in their utility (shit like BAT, VEN, AMB, and POWR, while in support of useful services, are far too niche to exist/thrive in the way that broad usage coins like BTC will)

If I had to pick the surviving coins:

>BTC, LTC, ETH (the obvious three)
>XMR (most other privacy coins will die once regulation begins -- XMR's current foothold will help it survive the initial holocaust, and it will then grow from there thanks to...)
>Dex coins, the savior of XMR (COSS, BNT, KNC, OMG?)
>Atomic swap coins, another savior of XMR (KMD)

Avoid projects that claim to be "ETH but better." ETH will be ETH but better.
