How funny would it be if, in 20 years or so, bitcoin goes on another small bull run for no reason other than it becomes a sort of collectable sought after only because of some perceived rarity (because by that time I suspect whales will have shook out every single normie and will own the vast majority of btc). That's the point, scarcity still applies and actually increases as over decades and decades people lose wallets and keys or whoveer they pass their coins to can't figure out how to use them. Or wallets stop recieiving support/updates. Even imagine asking someone to access the internet through dial up, they'd have to be taught if they never did it before. Will be the same with wallets and keys, the knowledge and know will get lost over time and /biz/tards will show up on American Pickers esque shows to explain how to convert a shitcoin into fiat. They will have blockchain fairs where people discuss the coins of the 2010s and how everything actually ended up.

Yes but the problem with that is that by then most people won't care about bitcoin. And when most people don't care about something it has almost no value because the value comes from people wanting it and being willing to pay more and more for it. Supply and demand...

That far in the future just a few nerds will care. But these nerds won't care enough to pay 5 or 6 figures for it. It'll just be a silly collectable item that they can't do anything with. Pretty useless.
