I threw a couple thousand in bitcoin in 2013 and 2014, then gradually went all in on Etherium once it started climbing out of it's $7 slump. Needless to say, I'll never have to work again, won't say exactly how much I have but it's enough to do whatever the fuck I want withdrawing monthly as I need it. No Lambos or mansion, just traveling, going to festivals, nailing 10s, and leaving most of it in the market for the time being. I have some of almost every alt coin too, just for shits!

Anyone else here work in real estate? I used to do investment banking at a boutique firm, but the hours were just horrendous. I made a few friends with guys in real estate while working on mortgage backed securities (yes they're still a thing after 2008) and it seemed a lot more enjoyable. At first I just tested the waters; "flipped one house, rented out a cheaper 300k house. After that I fell in love. Developing property is the most fun part about it, and you can hire land lords to deal with tenants.

Do they just do "regular" housing real estate? We do that too, but luxury real estate is usually a lot better. I try to counter the sleezy vibe we get by being active in the community. It's amazing how much better you get treated just because you sponsor some event. Great networking opportunities too. I met a specialist surgeon who was in the process of transferring his medical license to this state, and managed to sell him a really nice home. Anyways. technique wise i can't speak for all but i'm pretty good at interpreting price action so i prefer markets that trade very technically like crypto (less about fundamentals and more chart based). a pretty basic understanding of risk-reward scenarios along with a little chart analysis can go a long ways. crypto tends to be super volatile so i've seen a lot of traditional methods get laid to waste, maybe that appeals to the younger generations too. just stay away from /biz/ if you're trying to learn for real, i just come here to shit post when i'm bored and most ppl here are just losing money.
